Dismantling and reassembling furniture
When you move, many pieces of furniture won't fit through the door or into the lift unless they are taken apart. We dismantle them carefully, keep each item's fittings separate and rebuild them in your new home.
Transport is not included: you can book it with a removals company and we will coordinate with them for the dismantling and reassembly.

How much does furniture assembly cost?
We don't publish a single rate because a bedside table is nothing like a three-door wardrobe. The price mainly depends on:
- The number of items and how complex each one is.
- Whether they need anchoring to the wall and the type of wall (brick, concrete, plasterboard).
- Whether old furniture needs dismantling first.
- The location and access to the property.

Frequently asked questions
Do you assemble furniture bought online?
Yes. It doesn't matter where you bought it: what matters is that it arrives complete with its instructions. If the manufacturer doesn't include paper instructions, they are usually on their website.
What if a part is missing or damaged?
We check everything when we open the boxes. If a part is missing or a panel is broken, we tell you so you can claim from the shop, and we agree how to finish the job once the replacement arrives.
Do you take away the boxes and packaging?
We leave the packaging tidied and bundled so you can take it to the recycling bins or the local recycling point. If you need us to take it away, mention it when you ask for a quote.
Do I need to be at home during the assembly?
Someone needs to let us in and show us where each item goes. If you own a rental flat, the person who looks after your keys can do this.
How long does assembly take?
A chest of drawers or a desk usually takes one to two hours; a whole bedroom can take half a day or more. When we quote, we tell you how long we expect it to take.
