IKEA kitchens are designed with the IKEA planner and arrive in dozens of boxes. We fit them using the METOD system: carcasses, suspension rail for the wall units, MAXIMERA fronts and final adjustments.

How to prepare your kitchen before fitting
- Check your order. Compare the delivery note with the boxes you received. IKEA issues are resolved faster when they are spotted early.
- Clear the kitchen. No old units, the floor finished and the walls ready (tiling or painting done).
- Have the services ready. Sockets, water supplies and drains already in place according to the plan.
- Make room for the boxes. Ideally a room near the kitchen where we can open and sort them.
What the fitting includes
- Assembly of METOD base, wall and tall units.
- Installation and levelling of the suspension rail.
- MAXIMERA drawers, doors, shelves and interior fittings.
- Plinths, cover panels and handles.
- Fitting IKEA laminate or wooden worktops.
Gas, new electrical or water points and made-to-measure stone or quartz worktops are for specialist trades. More in kitchen fitting.
IKEA kitchen fitting prices
There is no standard price because every kitchen is different. The main factors are:
- The number of units and tall units, and whether there is an island or peninsula.
- The integrated appliances that need housing.
- The condition and material of the walls holding the wall units.
- Whether the old kitchen needs removing.
- Cuts to worktops, panels or plinths to fit the room.

Frequently asked questions
Can you fit an IKEA kitchen I designed myself?
Yes. Send us the planner drawing and we will check it. If something doesn’t add up (measurements, appliance spaces, pipe routes), we will tell you before we start.
Do you install the sink and tap?
We can fit the sink in the worktop and install the tap, connecting it to the existing supplies. If supplies or drains need moving, you will need a plumber.
What about the hob and oven?
We install the oven and hob in their housings. Induction and ceramic hobs need a suitable electrical supply; gas hobs must always be connected by a certified gas fitter.
What if a box is missing from the order?
We fit what we can and tell you what is missing so you can claim it. Once the part arrives, we arrange a return visit to finish.
